Old English Sheepdogs also known as “bobtails” are even tempered, loyal and affectionate dogs. Old English Sheepdog puppies reach an adult size of 22″ to 26″ (56 to 66cm) tall and can weigh 65 to 67 pounds (29 to 30 kg).

The colours of our Old English Sheepdog puppies vary but include, grey and white, grizzle or blue and white. Due to them having such a long coat it is recommended to groom between 3 to 4 hours a week. If dead hair is not removed frequently it can form mats and lumps. Many owners will get a professional groomer to clip the coat down to a puppy trim.

This dog is best suited to the country but can easy adapt to town life as long as it has a large garden. They need active owners who enjoy long walks and have plenty of time for training. Avoid walks in hot weather as the thick coat can lead to overheating. Bobtails can be quick learners as they are always interested in learning something new. Keep their training sessions short and fun for best results.

Old English Sheepdogs make great playmates for children but should be supervised around toddlers and the elderly as they can be rather clumsy.

All Dogs4Us Old English Sheepdog puppies come with a six month guarantee and are temporary vaccinated, wormed and microchipped for identification.  Please call us prior to visiting should you be interested in buying a Sheepdog puppy, so we can check availability.
